Born in Baltimore, Maryland, Ms. Judith Halli attended Catholic schools from first grade through college. After graduating from St. Joseph College with a BA in French and English, secondary education and theology, she received an MA from the University of Virginia. Since moving to Tuscaloosa in 1972, Ms. Halli has worked at Holy Spirit School teaching sixth, seventh, and eighth grades, serving as principal of the elementary school, and teaching English and religion classes in the high school. She has continued her education at the University of Alabama, where she has completed course work for a PhD in educational administration. She currently teaches and serves as Principal of Holy Spirit Catholic High School. Ms. Halli has watched the Holy Spirit School community grow over the years, and is proud of the contributions that Holy Spirit students and faculty have made in service to others, not only in their local communities, but in the broader communities of the church and world. Ms. Halli has two children, Anne and Joe. She enjoys reading, especially mystery novels and watching sports. Ms. Halli became a grandmother last year welcoming Erin Doran Tierney who was born on September 12. Ms. Halli and Erin have enjoyed trips to the beach and to Baltimore this summer. In addition to her work at Holy Spirit, Ms. Halli is an adjunct faculty member of the Honors College faculty at the University of Alabama where she teaches UH 101 courses.
