Black and White Photography

Our photography students take a step back in time and use fully manual cameras with black and white film. They develop their own film, and use a darkroom to print their photos using a silver gelatin print process. Understanding camera controls: aperture, shutter speed and lighting gives the photographer more control over the finished photo. The darkroom skills expose the magic of chemistry in printing black and white photos.
