Preschool offers a range of programs for children ages three through four. Each student's needs are met by setting realistic challenges suited to the developmental needs of young children. At Holy Spirit Catholic Preschool, students are encouraged to be active participants in the learning process, using a hands-on approach to learning and multi-sensory activities.

Our Preschool program provides an enriching environment that promotes spiritual, intellectual, social, emotional and physical growth for children 3 and 4 years old. A structured academic curriculum incorporates thematic units in various subject areas each week and prepares each child for the kindergarten level. In addition to their daily subjects, students receive exposure to art, music and computers. Children must be toilet trained and must be the appropriate age level by September 1st.

 

Daily Subjects:

Religion - develops a positive self-image in relationship to a loving God.

Language Arts - develops communication skills that enable a child to share his/her world with others as well as build stronger comprehension skills.

Mathematics - develops knowledge which comes from the understanding of quantitative concepts.

Science - develops a natural curiosity leading the children to question, investigate, manipulate, classify and report findings.

Social Studies - develops an understanding in regard to differences in family lifestyles.

Development Skills - develops personal and social skills as well as fine and gross motor skills.
