Hello! My name is Leah Clark and I am happy to serve you as your school counselor. I graduated from Holy Spirit in 2015, and I am thrilled to work with students at my alma mater. After Holy Spirit, I earned a bachelor's degree in Greek and Roman Studies from Vassar College and a master's degree in School Counseling from the University of Alabama. I am currently pursuing a PhD in Educational Research at the University of Alabama.
As the school counselor, I provide comprehensive academic, college/career, and social-emotional support for students in grades 6 through 12. My role includes assisting students with course planning, college and scholarship preparation, standardized testing, career exploration, and personal development. I collaborate closely with students, families, faculty, and administration to ensure that every student is supported in reaching their academic and personal potential. The counseling program emphasizes student growth, leadership development, college and career readiness, and the formation of well-rounded individuals prepared to succeed beyond Holy Spirit Catholic School.
In addition to individual student support, I develop and maintain resources for students and families that guide them through academic planning, college admissions, scholarship opportunities, career readiness, and student wellness initiatives. To accomplish this goal, I have created a Google Drive that contains a variety of resources pertaining to all aspects of school counseling. In this drive you will find information about planning for life after high school, standardized testing, social/emotional well-being, and so much more. I will continue to add resources overtime, so check back regularly for updated information.
I encourage students and parents to consult these resources first and then email me for further assistance. In addition to the resources included in the Google Drive, I will also send out a monthly newsletter with updates from the counseling office.
